In the Republic of Latvia, the national monopoly for organising national lotteries belongs to the State. State-scale drawovers shall be organised by a State capital company in which all capital shares belong to the State and the shares of which are not to be alienated and privatised - the State stock company Latvijas Loto.

Process description

  1. Service requests
    In order to receive a national licence for the organisation of a draw, the producer of the draw shall submit an application to which the following shall be added:
    - the terms of the intended draw;
    - the estimated revenue and expenditure;
    - information about the person responsible for the drawing.

  2. A service charge
    The Pays and Gambling Monitoring Inspectorate shall take a decision regarding the issuance of a national wide drawing licence or regarding the refusal to issue such a licence within 90 days from the date of receipt of the application.
    After receipt of a decision regarding the issuance of a national wide lottery organisation licence, the organizer of the lotteries shall make the payment of the fee of the lotteries in the current account of the Treasury indicated in the decision.
    The fee for the issuing of a national licence for the organisation of lotteries is EUR 14 230.
    The national lottery licence fee shall be EUR 1 000.

  3. Receipt of services
    After payment of the fee, a national licence for the organisation of a national drawing lot shall be issued to the producer of the lotteries.
    The service is received according to the selection of the request.
